lift stories from Schools for travel planning
Not all of us always has a rail experts on hand. Sorry.
But now and then, these experts share their accumulated knowledge with all of us, and with a small website 24 hours a day for our use.
have In our discussion with Mr. Kammler by Deutsche Bahn, we have passed the idea of a car level indicator on the web. So it is good to publish at this point to take a small (but very fine) Link tip. We received the notice that has Marcus Grahnert implemented exactly this idea [Link updated for the annual timetable 2011].
It is a pity that such a service has not been long built directly from the railway into the compound search. For there really any interests yet, where is the booked seat, or what other options are available in the selected train. At this point, our advice is used. And because it is less convenient is to have as pick out the connection easily, very quickly here, the few steps to get to your desired information:
The website of the DB, you look like your always desired Connection out. For our example we want on 3 October from Dresden to go to Hamburg. To obtain the information needed for the further search, click on the arrow on the left. In the center they will see in the column "Products", which number is on the road with your chosen train - for us this is the 176th EC
On the website of Marcus Grahnert you are looking for this number (s) out in the list and open the corresponding (n) PDF file (s). In this the type IC / EC / ICE does not matter, we need only the number.
In the downloaded file You will find all trains in ascending order. Therefore, the EC found 176 very quickly and we see at once: both bicycles and wheelchairs have to stay outside! Now we know that our selection is unfortunately not a suitable travel connection. But maybe something fits the above standing EC 174 in our planning ...
A little side note: at the linked page is available, it is a private project, which is NOT from Deutsche Bahn. Therefore, the author for the information of course can not guarantee. Especially short-term changes can not be covered. It is rather a good source of information on so it is planning a little easier. Binding information is available on request to your desired connection with the Deutsche Bahn (eg the mobility service).
Many thanks for the tip and the very useful services to Marcus Grahnert!
